TEHRAN – Iran defeated Thailand at the 2018 Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship semifinal and secured a slot at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship.

Behrouz Ataei’s boys beat Thailand 3-1 (25–14, 25–18, 15–25, 25–14) in Riffa, Bahrain.

Iran will play South Korea in the final match on Saturday, while Iraq face Thailand for the third place.

The 2018 Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship is the 19th edition of the Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA).

Iran have defeated China, South Korea, India, Kazakhstan and Thailand so far.
